About this role

The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team is a project management and execution team that manages construction activity within operational data center spaces. This team is tasked with critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize utilization of space, power, and cooling within operational data centers around the globe.

As a Data Center Project Manager, you will serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers, tackling fascinating challenges in designing, building, and operating these facilities. You will be responsible for project oversight and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural systems.

You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. You will collaborate across AWS to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers.

Requirements

  • Fundamental understanding of electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural systems
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and act on data from multiple sources
  • Experience in project oversight and review of critical infrastructure systems
  • Ability to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to operational challenges
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects
  • Strong technical background in data center or similar critical environment operations
