As Lead Quantity Surveyor, you will serve as the key commercial interface with clients, attending meetings and presenting cost information with clear advice. You hold ultimate responsibility as the gatekeeper for all pre-contract QS deliverables, ensuring accuracy and compliance before submission.

You will manage, guide, and support a team of QS and SQS staff, overseeing workload distribution and technical development. You work closely with design teams to ensure alignment between design development, budgets, and project objectives, driving value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities.

This role offers the opportunity to impact major infrastructure projects across the Middle East while mentoring junior team members. Supporting business operations through accurate reporting and commercial insights, you maintain strong awareness of UAE market costs and procurement trends.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certification from a recognised body (e.g., RICS).
Minimum of 10 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on pre-contract activities.
Strong working knowledge of consultancy and construction contracts, including FIDIC and regional GCC practices.
Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of quantity surveying staff.
Familiarity with UAE market costs, procurement trends, and supply chain conditions.

Responsibilities

Lead pre-contract quantity surveying activities within the delivery function, ensuring accurate and timely outputs.
Serve as the key commercial interface with clients, attending meetings and presenting cost information with clear advice.
Act as gatekeeper for all pre-contract QS deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance before submission.
Manage, guide, and support a team of QS and SQS staff, overseeing workload distribution and technical development.
Prepare, review, and approve detailed cost plans, estimates, and feasibility studies across multiple projects.
Oversee the preparation of bills of quantities, tender documentation, and procurement packages.
Drive value engineering activities to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
Mentor and guide team members, supporting their technical development and professional growth.
