About this role

Six Construct, a subsidiary of BESIX Group, seeks a detail-oriented UAE National Junior Quantity Surveyor (Electrical) to join its Technical MEP team. This role provides a valuable opportunity to contribute to the preparation and evaluation of tenders for major construction projects across the UAE.

The Junior QS will review technical documentation, perform quantity take-offs from drawings, and ensure accuracy of project quantities and tender information. They will check drawing completeness, manage tender documents, and raise RFIs when discrepancies arise, conducting regular follow-ups on clarifications.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
0-3 years of work experience in quantity surveying or construction.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural, and multinational environment.
Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

Check and ensure the completeness of drawings required for the tender.
Handle and maintain all tender documents and drawings, keeping up-to-date with revisions.
Review all received documentation, ensuring working on latest revision drawings and proper understanding of specifications.
Raise Request for Information (RFI) through the Estimator when discrepancies are identified and conduct follow-ups.
Perform quantity take-offs from drawings to verify quantities in the Bill of Quantities.
Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tenders for major construction projects.
Perform any other duties as designated by the Manager or Estimator.
