About this role

Six Construct, a subsidiary of BESIX Group, seeks a detail-oriented UAE National Junior Quantity Surveyor (Electrical) to join its Technical MEP team. This role provides a valuable opportunity to contribute to the preparation and evaluation of tenders for major construction projects across the UAE.

The Junior QS will review technical documentation, perform quantity take-offs from drawings, and ensure accuracy of project quantities and tender information. They will check drawing completeness, manage tender documents, and raise RFIs when discrepancies arise, conducting regular follow-ups on clarifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of work experience in quantity surveying or construction.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural, and multinational environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Check and ensure the completeness of drawings required for the tender.
  • Handle and maintain all tender documents and drawings, keeping up-to-date with revisions.
  • Review all received documentation, ensuring working on latest revision drawings and proper understanding of specifications.
  • Raise Request for Information (RFI) through the Estimator when discrepancies are identified and conduct follow-ups.
  • Perform quantity take-offs from drawings to verify quantities in the Bill of Quantities.
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tenders for major construction projects.
  • Perform any other duties as designated by the Manager or Estimator.
