About this role
The Hiller Companies, a leading provider of fire protection and safety solutions with over 100 years in the industry, is seeking a dedicated Construction Project Manager. This role is central to our mission of safeguarding lives and property by ensuring the highest standards of safety and innovation in comprehensive fire protection services.
In this position, you will manage a portfolio of multiple concurrent construction projects, bringing each one in on or under budget by controlling costs and forecasting revenue. Your day-to-day responsibilities include attending contractors' project meetings, maintaining accurate records, and managing the change order process from inception to completion.
You will work inter-departmentally with Sales, Superintendents, Foremen, and Service staff, acting as the primary interface for owner/customers. A proactive approach is essential to anticipate and identify problems early, implementing cost-effective solutions while ensuring compliance with building codes and AHJ approvals.

Requirements
- 5+ years project management experience with industry-specific capability
- Sound and practical understanding of construction and project management
- Working knowledge of planning with the ability to schedule and monitor tasks
- NICET II certification or higher preferred
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Proactive approach to anticipate and identify problems early and implement cost-effective solutions
- Ability to work inter-departmentally with Sales, Superintendents, Foremen, and Service staff
Responsibilities
- Assist proposal activities and attend pre-bid meetings
- Select subcontractors and manage materials purchases throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage project change orders, man-loading charts, weekly progress reports, and material delivery schedules
- Develop and maintain project schedules and a set of as-built and working drawings
- Act as primary interface for owner/customers and conduct construction meetings
- Coordinate with field management to resource projects and meet construction schedules and budgets
- Attend weekly meetings with operations and finance to provide percentage of completion and cost-to-complete updates
- Ensure compliance with project closeout requirements, AHJ approvals, building codes, and customer training
