About this role

This role, based at Aqua Consultants' offices or key client offices, supports quantity surveyors in delivering key frameworks and projects. You will liaise with both clients and contractors daily to ensure effective project management.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ideally using the NEC form of contract. You will be the focal point of contact for clients, inspiring confidence while leading meetings and undertaking site visits.

Working closely with a dedicated team, you will handle estimating, cost planning, procurement advice, tender documentation, contract administration, and cost control. Regular communication and collation of information with clients and contractors are essential to keep projects on track.

This position offers training and career progression opportunities, with professional membership fees paid. You will be managing and taking the lead on multiple projects, with the chance to further develop your commercial management skills in the water or utilities sector.

Requirements

  • NEC3/4 working knowledge
  • Post contract experience
  • Project cost management skills including organisational and diligent skills
  • Water industry or wider utilities experience
  • Working towards MRICS / MCICES
  • Pre contract / contract documentation experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from inception to completion, acting as the focal point of contact for clients
  • Liaise with clients and contractors daily to ensure timely communication and collation of information
  • Manage infrastructure projects using the NEC form of contract
  • Provide estimating and cost planning services
  • Prepare tender documentation and offer procurement advice
  • Handle contract administration, cost control, and cost reporting
  • Prepare final accounts and attend meetings and site visits
  • Lead multiple projects and undertake other appropriate quantity surveying and commercial management duties
