About this role

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Data Centre team in Denmark. The Quantity Surveyor works within and assists the commercial and construction team to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining relationships, maximising commercial returns and managing risk.

Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing tenders, analysing and selecting subcontractors, negotiating and finalising subcontract orders, and managing financial aspects to final account completion. The role also involves maintaining site records, recording measurements, and preparing valuations and variations.

Requirements

Degree level education and working towards relevant professional accreditation
Knowledge of JCT contracts
Letter and report writing skills
Negotiation skills
Contract value reviews (CVRs)
2-day safety appreciation course including contract and commercial awareness
CIOB membership or eligibility

Responsibilities

Preparing tenders, analysing and selecting subcontractors, negotiating and finalising subcontract orders
Managing financial and commercial aspects of subcontractors to final account completion
Maintaining site records and document control
Recording site measurements and preparing valuations and variations with sufficient records and details
Assisting with forecasts, targets and contract value reconciliations
Liaising with site management to influence and challenge commercial matters
Implementing commercial strategy and maintaining John Sisk & Son commercial and contractual entitlements
Supervising and overseeing Assistant and Trainee Quantity Surveyors, checking their work
