The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London's state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have knowledge and experience in pre and post-contract management and procurement within the UK rail sector. You will utilise your major project experience to drive efficiencies and effective supply chain engagement, supporting our design team through the initial design phase.

This role is based near the Elephant & Castle station in London, with a requirement to be in the office three days per week. You will work within a collaborative culture, establishing productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders while managing subcontractor accounts and contractual communications.

This multi-year contract offers the opportunity to work on a landmark infrastructure project, applying NEC3/4 contract management expertise and contributing to the delivery of MEPHFC systems works for one of London's most significant transport developments.

Requirements

Educated to degree level
Main contractor and/or joint venture experience
Experienced administering NEC3/4 contracts (A/C/E must have); use of CEMAR is desirable
Experienced in leading the full range of contract management activities including evaluation of high value Compensation Events
Ability to lead on project financial monitoring and reporting
Experienced in proactive change and risk management
Experienced in negotiating and procuring sub-contract packages (Design-Delivery-Commission), testing robustness of costs and value for money
Experience of working within a collaborative culture with a mature approach to relationship management

Responsibilities

Manage and administer NEC3/4 Option C contracts
Establish and manage entitlement, with key focus on gaining full entitlement under the terms of the subcontract
Lead the review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions
Manage subcontractor accounts and oversee contractual issues
Liaise and negotiate with the customer's commercial and project team
Investigate and draft contract communications including Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events
Provide contractual and commercial risk advice to the commercial team and wider technical and construction delivery teams
Manage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolio of works
