About this role

This position carries the responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating various gas distribution and transmission projects valued between $1-10M, and organizes multi-disciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle from creation to monitoring and adjustments.

Leads multi-disciplinary project teams with supervision, monitoring progress according to established timelines and recommending budget adjustments as needed. The role includes weekly contractor meetings, developing Gantt charts, and briefing business unit leadership monthly on progress toward milestone deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Project Management.
  • Internship experience in construction or energy field preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Knowledge of gas distribution and transmission construction practices.
  • Understanding of State, Federal, and Company safety regulations including DOT pipeline safety.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling tools such as MS Project or Gantt chart software.
  • Experience managing budgets and timelines for projects valued between $1-10M.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Leads multi-disciplinary project teams with supervision; accountable for planning, coordinating, directing, and controlling gas distribution and transmission construction projects valued at $1-10M.
  • Monitors project progress according to established timelines and recommends budget adjustments when necessary.
  • Meets with contractors weekly and assists with selection and review of contractor progress.
  • Develops Gantt charts and briefs business unit leadership monthly on progress toward timeline and budget milestones.
  • Monitors project activities to ensure alignment with all State, Federal, and Company safety requirements.
  • Applies technical knowledge and project management skills to address unforeseen issues and takes action to resolve.
  • Conducts project meetings to review progress, provide updates, and identify risks.
  • Assists with project creation and budgeting during the initial phases.
