About this role
This role involves responding to and attending to guest repair requests while communicating with guests to resolve maintenance issues. You will perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
Day-to-day tasks include visually inspecting tools and equipment, carrying tools and radios, and operating all shut-off valves for equipment and buildings. You will also maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved programs.
You will work within a team environment that values positive working relationships and supports common goals. The position requires adherence to company quality expectations and standards, as well as maintaining a professional appearance and protecting company assets.

Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders, and reach overhead and below the knees including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
- Ability to follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including proper storage of flammable materials.
Responsibilities
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines and carry equipment such as tools and radios.
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings.
- Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and thorough cleanup of the repair area.
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work and perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping and sprinklers.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier items with assistance.
