As a Union Carpenter, you will be responsible for building and repairing forms and structures on a variety of projects. Your day-to-day work involves constructing, erecting, and dismantling concrete forms, wood frameworks, and structural components across commercial, infrastructure, and institutional job sites.

Requirements
- Union membership or willingness to join the carpenters union
- Experience in commercial or industrial carpentry
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions
- Proficiency with hand and power tools common to the carpentry trade
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work on feet for extended periods
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality workmanship
- Reliable transportation to job sites in the Chicago area
Responsibilities
- Build and repair forms and structures for concrete work
- Construct, erect, and dismantle wood frameworks and scaffolding
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials
- Install doors, windows, hardware, and finish carpentry elements
- Operate hand and power tools safely on active construction sites
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and quality
