Granite Construction

Anchorage, US · Full-time · $55,000 – $85,000

About this role

This role is based in Alaska and requires candidates to be willing and able to work and temporarily live in Alaska for the duration of the construction season, typically March through November. You will construct, erect, install, and repair structural concrete formwork systems for bridge and heavy civil construction projects, including decks, piers, abutments, and other structural components.

Day-to-day, you will study blueprints and structural drawings, measure and cut forming materials, and build falsework, shoring, and bracing systems to support concrete placement. You will align and secure formwork to ensure correct elevation and grade, install form ties and embeds, and collaborate with ironworkers and labor crews during reinforcing steel placement and concrete operations.

You will work on a team of skilled tradespeople in a safety-focused environment, erecting scaffolding and work platforms for elevated bridge construction. You will inspect forms and supports before and during concrete placement to ensure stability and compliance with project specifications and OSHA regulations.

Granite Construction values its employees as the foundation of its century-old success, and this role offers the opportunity to build more than infrastructure — you will be building your future.
