About this role

The Project Manager is responsible for the management and successful delivery of large-scale heavy civil and public infrastructure projects. This role oversees multiple projects ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all contract requirements, public agency standards, and company expectations.

Day-to-day responsibilities include leading project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation while monitoring project performance and proactively addressing risks and challenges. The Project Manager develops and manages project budgets, forecasts, and cost control processes, ensuring accurate billing and identifying opportunities to improve project profitability.

This role serves as the primary point of contact for owners, municipalities, and public agencies, building and maintaining strong client relationships to support repeat work and future opportunities. The Project Manager participates in progress meetings, presentations, and communication across all stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, sequencing, and logistics
  • Proficiency in cost control systems and construction management software
  • Deep understanding of public contracts, specifications, and compliance requirements
  • Experience working on public contracts
  • Experience with creating and managing schedules
  • Ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of multiple heavy civil construction projects including roadway, utilities, stormwater, grading, and site development
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract specifications and quality standards
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation efforts
  • Monitor project performance and proactively address risks and challenges
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control processes
  • Ensure accurate billing
  • Identify opportunities to improve project profitability
  • Interpret and manage contracts, plans, specifications, and public agency requirements
