About this role
CMC is a 100% privately owned Australian Tier 2 civil contractor based in Queensland, specialising in civil and mining infrastructure. We are seeking experienced and emerging Project Managers to join our team and play a key role in delivering major civil infrastructure projects across the region.
In this role, you will lead and manage project teams to deliver complex transport infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and rail, for major transport authorities. You will be responsible for driving project success, controlling costs, and maximising margin and profitability outcomes.
You will work within a strong, people-focused culture that values high-performing teams and fosters strong stakeholder relationships. CMC has a 21-year legacy of delivering multi-million-dollar civil works across Queensland and NSW, providing a supportive environment for career growth.

Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience delivering civil infrastructure projects to DTMR or TfNSW specifications in a Project Manager capacity
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage high-performing project teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Sound commercial acumen with experience in project planning, forecasting, and reporting
- Proficient in project management systems, software, and reporting tools
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, environmental, and contractual requirements
Responsibilities
- Deliver major civil infrastructure projects across roads, bridges, and rail for major transport authorities
- Lead, mentor, and manage high-performing project teams to achieve exceptional outcomes
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships and drive project success
- Maximise project performance, control costs, and deliver strong margin and profitability outcomes
- Apply a commercial mindset to project planning, forecasting, and reporting
