About this role

Frasers Group seeks a Cost Manager to deliver commercial support across the full Capital Expenditure programme for all fascia and project types. The role covers feasibility estimates and commercial input from initial concept design through development appraisals on UK and EU new store and refit programmes.

Day-to-day work includes global monthly cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, and maintenance of the commercial and contractual documentation suite. The Cost Manager works with internal stakeholders and the Senior Cost Manager to adjust the cost model as project requirements evolve.

The position operates in a fast-paced retail construction environment, coordinating with specification, procurement, and external partners. Emphasis is placed on driving cost outcomes, applying change control, and managing external QS support services to optimise value.

Requirements

  • Experience working on multiple projects and previous QS position held
  • Extensive retail experience within refits and new store development
  • EU exposure is a benefit
  • Ability to negotiate and present to internal stakeholders
  • Ability to control projects in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Capex across the UK & EU Refit pipeline across various facias
  • Lead the supply chain to deliver better cost outcomes across all group construction and fit out activity
  • Apply cost control techniques to manage a capital out-turn
  • Refine the cost approval process including post-contract variations and change control for all capital construction and refurbishment programmes
  • Manage external QS support service, assuring that external cost consultants undertake duties stipulated in their fee agreements
  • Conduct timely collation and submission of Feasibility Capex’s, Global Cost Trackers, Monthly Cost Reports and Cashflow Forecasts
  • Support Senior Cost Manager to manage the relationship with group legal and insurance experts to manage framework contracts
