About this role
William Vaughan Company is seeking a skilled Mason/Bricklayer for a General Contractor based in Holland, OH. In this role, you will construct, repair, and maintain structures made of brick, block, and other materials, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Day-to-day responsibilities include laying bricks and blocks according to blueprints, mixing mortar, and ensuring proper alignment and leveling. You will also cut and shape materials to fit specific measurements, and build or repair walls, chimneys, foundations, and patios as needed.
You will collaborate with carpenters, masons, and laborers to complete projects efficiently while following all safety protocols. The work involves inspecting sites for quality and compliance with building codes, as well as maintaining accurate records of materials and hours worked.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a mason/bricklayer or similar role in construction
- Knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations
- Physical strength and stamina to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials
- Attention to detail and ability to perform precise work
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Responsibilities
