About this role

As our Civil Concrete Carpenter, you will play a key role in constructing and aligning formwork for foundations, walls, slabs, and structural elements. Day‑to‑day, you will build and set formwork systems, install bulkheads and embeds, and verify alignment, level, and dimensions.

You will read and interpret plans, coordinate with other trades, and ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment. Precise measurement and alignment are critical to ensuring accurate, high-quality concrete placement on each project.

More experienced team members may lead complex layouts, mentor helpers, and help drive productivity, quality, and safe work practices in the field. Coordination with other trades and clear communication are key to project success.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a concrete carpenter or form builder on civil construction projects.
  • Strong skillset in building, setting, bracing, and stripping concrete formwork for slabs, walls, footings, columns, and related structures.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, grades, elevations, measurements, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding field environment.
  • Proficiency in tool and equipment operation for formwork construction.
  • Safety awareness and teamwork orientation.
