About this role

We have several new and exciting opportunities for Multi-Trade Operatives to join our dedicated and newly established Rapid Response team in London. Supporting essential maintenance across our properties, you will play a vital role in delivering timely, high‑quality repairs and ensuring our services remain safe, reliable and responsive for our customers.

Within the roles you will be covering all aspects of general building repairs including carpentry and painting to both void and tenanted properties. With a company van and tools included, you will work across London on a 6-day rolling rota from 8:00am to 16:30pm.

Working in a fast‑paced environment, you’ll use your expertise to resolve issues quickly and keep customers informed. Requirements

  • Qualified to or currently undertaking NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry (or equivalent core subject). Original certification required at interview; copies and CSCS cards not accepted
  • Working experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
  • Skills in the following discipline - Carpenter
  • PC literate and able to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
  • Full valid UK driving licence (required to drive company vehicle)

Responsibilities

  • Attend occupied or void properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties
  • Resolve problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Maintain a suitable van stock level and restock when needed
  • Provide accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
  • Perform carpentry repairs including fitting doors, windows, and kitchen units
  • Carry out painting and decorating tasks to maintain property standards
  • Diagnose and fix faults in general building systems
