About this role
The Durable Restoration Company is hiring an International Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager onsite at a new construction project in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This role is critical to ensuring smooth project execution across international boundaries.
Day-to-day responsibilities include managing submittals, shop drawings, product data, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications. You will read and interpret spec books and blueprints, and use BIM construction software to coordinate project details.
You will work closely with the project team and independently, communicating effectively and solving problems through research and solution-oriented thinking. The position requires extended travel trips of 2-3 weeks at a time to the Sarajevo site.
The company offers paid in-house and on-the-job training, health insurance after 90 days, a 401(k) plan, quarterly bonuses for perfect attendance and meeting targets, and promotions based on performance. You must be willing to learn and pass various background checks including Federal, NSA, and Department of Defense clearances.
Requirements
- At least a 2-year degree in construction/project management, architecture, engineering, or equivalent field experience or prior experience in construction management administration or architectural training
- Experience with submittals, the submittal process, shop drawings, product data, RFIs, change orders, pay apps, and other construction administration
- Ability to read and understand spec books and blueprints
- Working knowledge of BIM construction software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel for extended trips (2-3 weeks per trip)
- Valid driver's license with 4 or less points and a valid passport
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, random drug screening, background check, and Federal/NSA/Department of Defense background checks
Responsibilities

- Process change orders and pay applications as part of construction administration
- Read and interpret spec books and blueprints to ensure project compliance
- Utilize BIM construction software for project coordination and documentation
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and stakeholders
- Travel for extended trips of 2-3 weeks at a time to the international project site
- Problem solve through research and maintain a solution-oriented approach
