About this role

Amentum is seeking a Project Manager for the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station, one of Europe's largest infrastructure projects. This role will direct and lead all activities associated with the full lifecycle delivery of a contract or work package.

You will anticipate, manage, and resolve issues within the contract, develop budgets, and oversee supply chain to maintain nuclear safety. Responsibilities include contract administration, managing changes, and ensuring schedules are developed and maintained.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will lead a multi-discipline team and liaise with the HPC site team to facilitate seamless delivery. You will also oversee over 100 international Tier 2 and 3 suppliers per contract.

Requirements

  • Experience in project management within large-scale construction or nuclear projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and direct multi-discipline teams.
  • Knowledge of contract administration and commercial management processes.
  • Understanding of nuclear safety standards and quality assurance requirements.
  • Strong risk management and issue resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate, manage, and resolve issues within the contract or package, including risk identification and budget development.
  • Undertake all contract administration activities including variations, claims, technical queries, and instructions.
  • Provide oversight of the Tier 1’s supply chain to ensure nuclear safety is maintained, involving over 100 international suppliers.
  • Manage resolution of issues and non-conformance reports during manufacturing to maintain quality and schedule.
  • Manage all change to the contract including scope definition, business justification, and implementation in line with governance.
  • Ensure level 3 schedules are developed and maintained consistent with overall project schedules.
  • Liaise with HPC site team to facilitate seamless delivery and assist in securing required resources.
