About this role

Hatch is seeking a Lead Area Construction Manager to join our Project Delivery Group in Clarksville, TN. You will be responsible for executing project assignments, coordinating and managing engineering and construction services, and ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget. This role focuses on smelter and other heavy industrial projects.

Day-to-day, you will lead assigned projects and maintain positive client relationships while troubleshooting all phases of heavy construction and operations work. You will manage Field Representatives and Project Managers, review shop drawings, render design drawings, and supervise the build phase.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Construction Management.
  • Heavy industrial or smelter experience is preferred.
  • Candidates with extensive site-based, multi-discipline construction management experience on large-scale EPCM and EPC projects are preferred.
  • Experience managing Field Representatives and Project Managers.
  • Ability to review shop drawings and supervise the build phase.
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting heavy construction and operations work.
  • Experience generating pay applications, cost summary estimates, and project cost schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure satisfactory completion of construction activities within project schedule.
  • Establish and maintain a positive relationship with the client.
  • Manage Field Representatives and Project Managers.
  • Review shop drawings, render design drawings, and supervise the build phase.
  • Troubleshoot all phases of heavy construction and operations work.
  • Schedule and run or attend job meetings and generate pay applications, work directives, change orders, and cost summary estimates.
  • Oversee onsite quality including inspection of work, sign-offs, review of subcontractors’ QA/QC programs, and coordinate with Quality supervisors.
