
About this role
At Anglian Water, we collaborate with alliance partners to deliver water and water recycling services across the region. As our Cost Manager, you'll provide commercial insight and cost leadership across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and capital works.
You'll manage project costs from inception through completion, working under the NEC3 contract suite with a focus on Option E and Option A. Your day-to-day involves accurate forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis to ensure robust contractual compliance.
This role is employed by Anglian Water and embedded within the Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance, partnering with Morrison Water Services, Barhale, and Kier. You'll collaborate closely with Project Managers, Commercial Leads, and Programme Delivery teams across a £444 million, five-year programme.
The IOS Alliance concentrates on solutions across water recycling and clean water assets, driven by Anglian Water’s commitment to Love Every Drop. This position offers the chance to make a tangible impact on environmental and social prosperity in the region.
Requirements
- Experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or commercial roles
- Background in infrastructure, utilities, or construction projects
- Strong analytical and financial management skills
- Knowledge of contract frameworks (e.g., NEC3)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A relevant degree or professional membership (e.g., RICS, CIOB)
Responsibilities
- Manage and control project costs from inception through to completion
- Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and supply chain partners
- Identify risks and opportunities to improve value and efficiency
- Support procurement, contract management, and cost assurance activities
- Manage projects under the NEC3 contract suite, focusing on Option E and Option A
- Ensure compliance with Anglian Water’s governance standards across the alliance partnership
