Carpenter

Working under general supervision, perform general carpentry functions. Fill work requests via the College’s Work Order System. Work hours are determined by the College and subject to change for academic-year and summer needs.

Erect wooden building frames, partitions, and roofs. Install exterior and interior trim, moldings, baseboards, doors, door frames, and paneling. Lay floors and perform miscellaneous functions requiring cutting, shaping, and fastening wood or other materials.

Operate circular and radial saws, planes, shapers, and other mechanical woodworking tools. Lay and repair flooring including ceramic tile, wood strip, LVP, and carpet. Perform utility wood cabinet work and install doors and frames with hardware.

Work on assignments with little supervision in a college environment emphasizing diversity. May require hours beyond normal schedule with supervisor approval. Physical demands include lifting 65 lbs. maximum and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
