About this role

This role supports the delivery of commercial interior fit-out projects for occupier clients, ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The Assistant Project Manager acts as a coordination point between clients, design consultants, and execution teams across all project phases.

Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring site progress, tracking manpower deployment and productivity, and ensuring vendors comply with contractual scope and quality benchmarks. The role also involves preparing budgets, BOQs, and cost estimates, validating contractor bills, and supporting cost control measures.

The position sits within the Project & Development Services (PDS) – Occupier business unit, working closely with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth execution. The team environment emphasizes attention to detail, problem-solving, and proactive risk escalation to maintain project momentum.

This role offers a clear growth path to Project Manager, with opportunities to develop expertise in end-to-end interior fit-out execution and client management. Successful candidates will gain exposure to high-profile commercial projects and build a strong foundation in project leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in commercial interior fit-out projects
  • Preferably with IPC, PMC, or real estate consultancy background
  • Strong understanding of interior fit-out execution and project lifecycle
  • Basic knowledge of contracts, BOQs, and cost management
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and basic AutoCAD understanding
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

Responsibilities

  • Assist in end-to-end execution of interior fit-out projects for office and commercial spaces
  • Support development of project plans, timelines, and tracking mechanisms
  • Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to project schedules
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth execution
  • Track manpower deployment and productivity at site
  • Assist in preparing budgets, BOQs, and cost estimates; track project costs and support cost control measures
  • Participate in client meetings, prepare minutes of meeting, and provide regular project updates
  • Assist in snagging, de-snagging, and final project handover; ensure documentation and warranties are in place
