About this role

Assist journeyman carpenter with planning, layout, and installation of concrete forms, rebar, and anchor bolts for flat foundations, spread footers, and drilled piers. Also assist with placing and finishing concrete in accordance with plans and specifications. This role supports concrete foundation construction for substation and drilling projects across the US.

Hand dig ditches and holes, and assist in the assembly, setting, and bracing of concrete forms. You will be trained to operate equipment such as a skid steer, mini excavator, back hoe, and forklift while using required hand tools proficiently. Daily tasks also include maintaining an organized job site and tool storage.

Follow safety procedures and report violations. Participate in daily pre-job briefings to provide input that mitigates or eliminates hazards. Work in typical construction environments with extreme temperatures, noise, and electrical hazards. Maintain clean work areas and trailers to ensure a safe worksite.

Learn to read and comprehend concrete drawings and specifications. Travel out of town to remote jobsites as required by management. This role offers hands-on experience to develop into a skilled carpenter finisher. Eagerness to grow and self-motivation are valued for career advancement.

Requirements

1 year working in the concrete industry
Capable to receive and follow verbal directions
Capable of working well with others as a team
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Self-motivating with eagerness to grow (preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills (preferred)
