About this role

The Construction Project Manager/Estimator oversees bidding, tracking, execution, and costing of assigned projects within the Construction Department. This role works in collaboration with the Refrigeration Construction Manager to determine workload, bid pricing, and materials procurement strategies.

Daily responsibilities include maintaining consistent communication with general contractors, managing change orders, and coordinating project workflows. The position also handles parts procurement and clerical tasks that support overall project success and timely delivery.

Relationship building is central, as the role nurtures customer connections to expand the construction team while securing competitive pricing from vendors. Projects are actively monitored to stay on schedule and within budget.

Requirements

  • Experience overseeing construction project bidding, execution, and costing
  • Knowledge of HVAC/R refrigeration systems and construction processes
  • Skill in materials pricing, procurement, and vendor management
  • Ability to manage change orders and coordinate with general contractors
  • Proficiency in developing and tracking operational KPIs
  • Experience analyzing processes to improve GM% and reduce overhead

  • Oversee bidding, tracking, execution, and costing of assigned construction projects
  • Collaborate with the Refrigeration Construction Manager to determine workload and bid pricing
  • Manage materials pricing, procurement, and vendor negotiations for competitive rates
  • Maintain communication with general contractors and manage change orders
  • Coordinate project workflows, procure parts, and handle supporting clerical tasks
  • Build customer relationships to expand the construction team
  • Monitor projects to ensure they remain on schedule and within budget
  • Develop and manage operational KPIs in coordination with executive management
