About this role

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in carpentry or concrete formwork.
• NCCER certifications in Concrete Finishing, Carpenter, Reinforcing Ironwork, Rigger, or Scaffolding preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., hammer, pliers) and power tools (e.g., skill saw, concrete vibrator).
• Knowledge of safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and hazard identification.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including fractions and whole numbers.
• Physical ability to perform demanding construction tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay-out and install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts for concrete structures per plans and specifications.
• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble and install forms and related components.
• Construct built-in-place or prefabricated wooden forms and erect and brace them to fixed objects.
• Pour concrete into finished forms, vibrate, level, smooth, and shape surfaces, and finish to specifications.
• Participate in all safety processes, watch for hazards, and use stop work authority as needed.
• Coordinate work with other crafts and provide on-the-job training to helpers and laborers.
• Read and understand blueprints, sketches, and plans to prepare project layout and assure compliance.
