About this role
Collective Trade Services, part of Ambrose Construct Group, is one of Australia’s largest insurance repair specialists, expanding its trade team in Townsville and surrounding areas. We are looking for skilled Multi-Trade Professionals, Plasterers, and Tilers to join us in delivering exceptional repairs and maintenance for our clients.
In this hands-on role, you will carry out a variety of trade tasks, from installing and finishing plasterboard to tiling floors and walls with precision. You’ll prepare surfaces, cut and lay tiles accurately, and perform general building repairs across multiple trade areas to maintain functionality and appearance.
You will work within a supportive, collaborative team environment where high-quality workmanship and strong attention to detail are valued. The role offers diverse insurance building and construction projects, giving you variety and the chance to apply your skills across different settings.

Requirements
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in painting, plastering, or general building trades
- Valid driver’s license, White Card, and Blue Card (or willing to obtain)
- Proven experience in one or more of the listed trades, with multi-trade skills highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility for occasional overtime to meet project deadlines
Responsibilities
- Install and finish plasterboard to a professional standard, ensuring smooth, precise results
- Carry out general building repairs across multiple trade areas to maintain functionality and appearance
- Prepare surfaces, cut and lay tiles on floors and walls accurately for a clean, high-quality finish
- Maintain high standards of quality across all work completed
- Identify and resolve issues on site quickly and effectively
- Move between various trades and tasks, managing workload efficiently
- Use and maintain own trade tools for efficient job completion
- Communicate professionally with clients and colleagues while following all health and safety requirements
