About this role
K & B Timber & Hardware is a predominant player in the Frame & Truss industry, holding safety and its people as its highest priority. We are looking for additional workers for our Truss Plant based in Keith.
The work involves assembling floor and roof trusses and wall frames inside our warehouse. We are looking for reliable, hardworking people in the local and surrounding areas, as well as dedicated people willing to relocate.
Keith is located 226kms from Adelaide, taking approximately 2.5 hours to travel there; 45kms from Bordertown, 109kms from Naracoorte, and 38kms from Tintinara. You will work with a large close-knit team in a safe environment.
This role is being offered as casual with up to 38 hours per week. There may be the opportunity for the right candidate to transition to full time.
Requirements
- Able to take direction and follow instructions
- Able to do hard and repetitive work
- Fit and healthy
- Experience in labour, mechanical, or production work a bonus
- Forklift experience preferred but not required
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test
- Reliable and hardworking
- Local to Keith or surrounding areas, or willing to relocate
Responsibilities
- Assemble floor and roof trusses and wall frames inside the warehouse
- Follow direction and instructions from supervisors
- Perform hard and repetitive work as required
- Operate hand and power tools for cutting and fastening timber components
- Use forklift to move materials and finished products (if experienced)
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Undergo pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
