The Narangba Department is looking for a self-motivated Production Plant Operator to join our asphalt production team. You will work closely with the team to promote and build our business, carrying out fixed plant inspection checklists and maintaining a neat site.

You will actively participate in preventative maintenance, toolbox discussions, and safety meetings. Initiating and communicating ideas that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and costs is key to this role.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a fixed production facility with asphalt is highly desired
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of industry related standards and specifications
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines in a quality manner
  • Experience operating front end loader and bobcats
  • Familiarity with using computers and software for data entry and equipment monitoring
  • Strict adherence to safety guidelines and protocols
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, coordinating with other plant operators and workers

Responsibilities

  • Carry out fixed plant inspection checklists
  • Maintain a neat and tidy site and work area
  • Initiate and communicate ideas that improve efficiency, reduce waste and costs
  • Actively participate in preventative maintenance, toolbox discussions and safety meetings
  • Operate and maintain fixed production equipment, such as mixers, conveyors, and drying units
  • Operate front end loader and bobcats
  • Coordinate with other plant operators and workers to achieve production goals
  • Strictly adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents
