About this role
As a Carpenter at Borgata, you will perform both predictive maintenance and reactive repairs, including fixing broken or damaged furniture and building custom cabinetry, tables, and other furnishings. All tasks are carried out in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure the integrity of facilities.
Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on furniture, cabinetry, rooms, public areas and offices. Complete jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management while maintaining logbooks and operating power and hand tools to finish assignments in a timely manner.
Fabricate, assemble, and install permanent structures, office partitions, doors, cornices, and counters. Work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to obtain dimensions and finished specifications while safely setting up woodworking machines under minimal supervision.
Maintain constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention while wearing required personal protective equipment. Keep informed on current techniques and advise the Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Required
- 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in similar environment Required
- Required to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
