About this role

Pareto FM is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Northern Team, reporting to the Head of Projects. This role will lead and support delivery of a wide range of projects across operational sites, focusing on facilities, construction, fit outs, engineering, and infrastructure improvements. Operating within a fast-paced 24/7 environment of office and manufacturing spaces, the role requires strong project planning and stakeholder management.

As Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery is safe, compliant, on time, and within budget. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and operational teams to plan projects with minimal disruption to business operations. The role involves managing budgets, preparing project reports, and developing programmes around operational constraints.

This is a field-based role covering the Northern Region, with a primary Monday to Friday schedule, though occasional evening or weekend work may be required. You’ll coordinate consultants, contractors, and professional advisors throughout project delivery, while identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies. The role requires strong health & safety compliance knowledge, including CDM regulations.

You will support continuous improvement and lessons learned across the wider projects function, providing leadership when required. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex fit outs, infrastructure upgrades, and engineering projects within a dynamic operational environment. The role is ideal for experienced professionals seeking to take ownership of high-impact projects.

Requirements

  • Extensive project management experience with Prince2 qualification (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience within Facilities Management, Construction, or Building Services sectors
  • Experience delivering fit outs, relocations, infrastructure, or engineering projects
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, governance, and cost control
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations and health & safety compliance
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

  • Developing project objectives, scopes, and delivery strategies alongside Project Sponsors and the Head of Projects
  • Managing projects from concept through to completion across operational sites
  • Coordinating consultants, contractors, and professional advisors throughout project delivery
  • Managing budgets, forecasts, project costs, and expenditure tracking
  • Preparing project reports, business cases, and capital expenditure approvals
  • Developing project programmes and timelines around operational constraints
  • Ensuring projects comply with health & safety legislation and CDM regulations
