Safety Officer ensures safe working conditions across the project site.

Requirements
- Ability to obtain clearance
- Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and compliance standards
- Experience coordinating construction schedules, subcontractors, and personnel
- Proficiency in quality control processes, inspections, and documentation
- Familiarity with safety policies, procedures, and safe working conditions
- Ability to review shop drawings, submittals, and manage RFIs
- Skills in conducting site inspections, logging observations, and taking progress photos
Responsibilities
- Supervise subcontractors assigned to area of responsibility, provide communications between scopes, planning, and monitoring progress to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
- Plan work schedule, determine manpower levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements
- Ensure enough and correct material is onsite to perform scheduled tasks
- Monitor work performance to ensure permanent work meets project specifications, procedures, and safety requirements
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, correct unsafe work activities and conditions
- Coordinate with Project Manager to identify issues and create Requests for Information
- Lead planning, development, and implementation of Quality Control Management Plan for all work divisions
- Review project specifications, shop drawings, and submittals for conformance, conduct weekly QC meetings and daily reports
