About this role

McDermott is exploring candidates for the Package Manager - Linepipe and Coating role. This position manages the subsea linepipe and coating scope, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. Serve as the formal point of contact for all package aspects, ensuring on-time and in-specification delivery while handling internal and external interfaces.

Coordinate supplier design activities to align with internal marine and engineering stakeholders. Manage end user interfaces including kick-off meetings, documentation reviews, and pre-production meetings. Oversee commercial interfaces, contract compliance, and delivery risk profiles with mitigation measures.

Provide leadership and commitment to HSES matters within the project. Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Monitor purchase order costs against budget and liaise with project planner and fabrication team on delivery dates.

Manage escalation processes across the organization, including category and functional management. Oversee contingency planning and lessons learned for the delivery scope. Ideal for those passionate about building energy's future on upcoming projects.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering
  • 15 years’ experience in the Subsea Oil and Gas Industry in engineering / supply chain with full project lifecycle experience
  • Proven track record in demonstrating effective leadership to deliver complex subsea equipment packages in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Commercial and contractual focused with proven experience with contracts terms and conditions, commercial negotiation and contract management
  • Proven track record working in a fast track schedule driven environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with project management team, functional departments, and end user client on safety, quality, commercial, contractual, engineering and operations matters
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a delivery team across functions like Engineering, Fabrication, Quality, HSE, Cost Control, Legal and Finance

Responsibilities

  • Act as the formal point of contact for all communications on the package, internal and external
  • Ensure company guidelines on safety and environmental issues are passed on to the supplier, understood, and adhered to
  • Provide leadership and commitment to HSES matters within the project
  • Manage the design and engineering phase by coordinating supplier design activities with internal stakeholders
  • Manage all aspects of the end user interface with the supplier including kick-off meetings and documentation reviews
  • Manage all commercial interfaces with supplier and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor purchase order costs against budget and delivery risks with mitigation measures
  • Liaise with project planner and fabrication team, reporting against baseline delivery dates
