About this role
Responsible for managing the full piping scope including fabrication and installation, ensuring safe, on-time, and compliant execution in large-scale industrial projects such as ammonia, methanol, and petrochemical plants. This is a highly operational, site-driven role focused on piping activities from spool definition to system completion.
Conduct weekly planning and 4-week lookaheads while ensuring material and resource availability. Monitor productivity in fabrication and erection, tracking progress, costs, and schedule adherence. Define critical lines, system sequences, and work fronts to optimize execution.
Coordinate piping supervisors and manage subcontractors for performance, quality, safety, and contractual compliance. Lead coordination meetings and interface with engineering, construction, commissioning, and HSE teams. Report to the Mechanical Site Manager while handling RFIs and technical queries.
Enforce safety procedures, proper lifting, and material handling plans to promote a strong safety culture. Ensure compliance with codes like ASME and API, controlling inspections, welding, traceability, and NDT. Gain international project exposure in a multicultural environment with continuous training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Minimum 5 years in similar roles
- Strong experience in piping fabrication and erection
- Petrochemical project experience preferred
- Knowledge of materials: carbon steel, alloy steel (P11, P22, P91), stainless steel, HDPE, GRP
- Familiarity with codes and standards: ASME, API
- English mandatory; Spanish, Portuguese, French, or German a plus
- Strong leadership, clear communication, problem-solving mindset, results-oriented
