We have an award-winning reputation and industry leading safety culture. We are currently recruiting for an Agent to join our heavy civils team in Southampton.

As the Agent, lead site team supervision including subcontractors and monitor site activities against target programmes. Ensure adequate records are maintained complying with the JGL Information Management System, such as Quality Assurance documentation and daily diaries. Prepare and deliver daily site briefings while monitoring works to meet specifications safely.

Attend site meetings, give formal communications to clients and subcontractors like Early Warnings, and ensure compliance with SHEQ standards. Produce site documentation such as RAMS and ITP’s, working collaboratively with the Client's team. Operate in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment with a strong safety focus.

Requirements

A BSc, MSc, or BEng level qualification in a Civil Engineering aligned subject
Ability to work well within a dynamic, fast-paced team, whilst working autonomously
Ability to prioritise a varied workload effectively
Previous site experience in delivering projects to programme
Ability to manage the installation of works to a high specification / quality
Mindset to seek opportunities and problem solve with the design team and supply chain to identify programme and production opportunities
Experience of working with Cofferdam Backfill, Clean Water pipework installation, Heavy Civils

Responsibilities

Lead the site team supervision, including subcontractors
Monitor site activities against the target programmes and site planning
Ensure adequate records are maintained complying with the JGL Information Management System, e.g. Quality Assurance documentation, daily diaries and as built drawings
Prepare and deliver daily site briefings
Monitor all works activities to ensure they meet the Works Specification and are delivered in a safe manner
Attend site meetings
Give formal communications to clients and subcontractors including Early Warnings and instructions
Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards and ITP’s
