About this role
The Site Agent acts as the construction leader on the ground for the Hind Street Civils project. They manage overall day-to-day supervision of the construction site. They monitor site preparation prior to launch and oversee safe, efficient operations throughout the construction phase.
Responsibilities include planning site setup with appropriate facilities before project launch. They drive project pace, coordinate activity sequences, and flag issues impacting delivery like materials or schedules to management teams. Quality control and HSEQS protocols remain central to daily oversight.
They manage relationships with sub-contractors onsite and lead a team of foremen and site staff. Strong people skills help navigate conflicting priorities and difficult stakeholders. Industrial relations practices ensure smooth operations amid varied subcontractor supervision.

Requirements
- Strong people management experience
- Knowledge of good industrial relations practices
- Ability to deal with conflicting priorities and difficult stakeholders, particularly subcontractors
- Ability to communicate warmly and persuasively with colleagues and clients formally and informally
- Ability to build consensus
- More than ten years’ experience working across a range of sectoral projects
- Experience leading others and track record of delivering medium to large scale projects
- Trade or technical background
Responsibilities
- Participate in compiling the initial programme with full awareness of weekly targets
- Plan and oversee site setup ensuring appropriate facilities prior to project launch
- Manage relationships with sub-contractors while working onsite
- Take ownership for ensuring HSEQS protocols are adhered to on site
- Maintain quality control procedures
- Ensure the TWR is in place and up to date
- Monitor onsite energy and waste data
- Drive the pace of the project and plan work in the field
