Create comprehensive timelines with milestones for design, permitting, and long-lead material procurement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Knowledge of efficient electrical design concepts for informed client decisions
  • Experience analyzing scopes of work and providing cost comparisons
  • Understanding of electrical code and material alternatives
  • Proficiency in developing schedules explaining critical path and constraints
  • Familiarity with vendor management and submittal requirements
  • Ability to assess constructability for heavy civil electrical projects

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate site conditions and project requirements to determine if a design can be built within the owner's budget and timeframe
  • Develop indicative pricing to detailed budgets from conceptual designs and refine as plans become more specific
  • Create and validate comprehensive timelines including milestones for design, permitting, and long-lead material procurement
  • Identify, prequalify, and solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and scope coverage
  • Analyze scopes of work and provide cost comparisons with recommendations
  • Perform value engineering by analyzing design elements to suggest cost-saving alternatives without sacrificing quality
  • Mitigate risks by suggesting alternative electrical systems or materials that reduce costs while maintaining quality
  • Drive coordination between architects, engineers, and clients to align on project scope and execution strategy
