About this role
Gray Construction seeks an Assistant Site Manager, MEP for its Field Operations Team. This field/project-based role supports MEP Project Managers on construction projects. The company is a fully integrated design-builder serving markets like Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Data Centers, Advanced Technology, and Distribution.
Assist in planning construction procedures by studying specifications based on start and completion times and staffing needs. Develop MEP project schedules, solicit prices from subcontractors and vendors, and negotiate final prices. Review drawings including P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, and Structural to maintain current field sets.
Coordinate and manage on-site activities from pre-start-up to completion, including scheduling subcontractors and securing materials. Serve as on-site Safety Officer when not assigned and participate in the company’s safety QMS program. Confer with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to execute work and prevent delays.

Requirements
- Familiarity with MEP systems and coordination across Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing trades
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, shop drawings, architectural, and structural plans
- Experience in construction scheduling and integrating MEP into overall project timelines
- Knowledge of subcontractor bidding, scope development, and negotiation processes
- Proficiency in preparing cost-to-complete reports, monthly billings, and change orders
- Understanding of construction safety protocols and QMS programs
- Skill in managing procurement, materials, equipment, and tools for project timelines
Responsibilities
