About this role

Work within the Maintenance Section of Building Services, Mobile Working as a Bricklayer for Fife Council. Carry out general bricklayer/builder duties to domestic and non-domestic properties throughout Fife. This permanent role is based at Bankhead Depot, Bankhead Central, Glenrothes.

Build brick and block work, perform hard and soft landscaping, and erect and install masonry components. Provide all aspects of internal and external bricklayer/builder works to properties. Engage in major works and new build projects across Fife.

Operate on a 36 hours per week working pattern. Join a team focused on maintenance for domestic and non-domestic properties. Mobile working supports coverage throughout the region.

Secure a TD4 salary of £32,343.17 in this permanent position. Proposed interviews week commencing 12 January 2026. Closing date Sunday 14 December 2025.

Requirements

Skills and experience in brick and block work
Proficiency in hard and soft landscaping
Ability to erect and install masonry components
Knowledge of internal bricklayer works
Knowledge of external bricklayer works
Experience with major works and new build
Supporting Statement outlining skills and experience for the role
