As part of the Turner Construction family, join our Calgary team as an Apprentice Carpenter building foundations and concrete structures.

Daily tasks include erecting, installing, and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades on commercial sites. Build footings, walls, column forms, slab forms, stair forms, and parapets while reading and interpreting drawings or instructions from supervisors. Perform a variety of carpentry services including backing, blocking, framing, and general installations.

Install precast units, framing systems, sheathing, exterior trims, interior and exterior doors with hardware, windows, flooring, wall coverings, washroom accessories, and architectural materials. Execute work with minimal supervision alongside a team and other sub-trades, reporting to a Foreman or Superintendent. Maintain a clean construction site, daily logs of tasks, and hazard assessment cards.

Represent Clark Builders professionally, adhering to all policies and procedures while performing other construction-related duties as assigned. This safety-sensitive role involves working outdoors in extreme weather, at heights, and long hours with repetitive tasks. Requirements

  • Physical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive motions, bending, crouching, and kneeling for long periods
  • Capability to work outside in extreme weather conditions depending on the season
  • Ability to work long hours while completing repetitive tasks
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th year Apprenticeship training or Journeyperson certificate
  • Concrete form work experience
  • Experience working in commercial/industrial construction considered an asset
  • Valid first aid certificate an asset
  • Valid ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020, and WHMIS 2015 an asset
