Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc. is seeking a Project Construction Manager at the North Chicago site. The role involves detailed planning and scheduling of construction work while preparing bid packages for subcontracted tasks.

Daily work centers on integrating engineering packages, developing execution plans, and managing safety and quality targets in the field. The manager coordinates crews, tracks progress, and maintains alignment with cost and schedule goals.

Interface occurs regularly with owners, engineers, field supervision, and subcontractors to support plant operations. Cost control duties include creating reports, updating projections, and processing change orders.

Requirements

  • 2-year Associate's of Construction Management or 4-year Engineering degree or related Construction degree plus 5-10 years industrial facility construction management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project.
  • Understanding of Lean Construction/Six Sigma Principles preferred.
  • Experience integrating Artificial Intelligence tools such as Copilot into daily work processes is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review and input to engineering information packages for constructability and completeness.
  • Integrate multiple engineering information packages and develop bid packages for RFPs.
  • Develop detailed execution plans, schedules, and other required deliverables.
  • Facilitate and develop project safety and quality plans while managing them in the field.
  • Develop labor and material estimates, material takeoffs, and enter requisitions.
  • Actively manage costs by creating cost reports, updating trends, and processing change orders.
  • Schedule and coordinate construction crews to support plant operations and report progress.
  • Interface with owners, engineers, field supervision, and subcontractors.
