APTIM Federal Services, LLC seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead field execution on a high-profile, technically demanding construction project. This role demands in-depth experience in pipeline construction, utility avoidance, trenching, backfilling, asphalt and concrete placement. Ensure compliance with APTIM standards, federal requirements, and oversight from Navy, USACE, EPA, municipalities, and state authorities.

Serve as on-site lead for daily field operations, including planning, supervision, safety, schedule adherence, cost control, and subcontractor management. Monitor craft performance against budget, schedules, and deadlines while implementing work rules. Prepare and review plans, specifications, drawings, and schedules to coordinate work phases and priorities.

Lead daily construction fieldcrew meetings and work closely with residential and commercial businesses to keep them informed. Provide daily coordination with project teams, government representatives, and stakeholders. Recommend solutions to construction, engineering, and architectural discrepancies as needed.

Plan, organize, and control field crews per APTIM policies while providing leadership to the project team. Establish safety and quality programs, manage risks, and ensure financial goals are met. Supervise personnel, forecast staffing needs, and represent the project to clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of construction management experience
  • At least 5 years overseeing pipeline construction
  • Managing pipeline construction in or around Long Island preferred
  • In-depth experience in utility avoidance, trenching, backfilling, asphalt and concrete placement
  • Strong leadership skills for coordinating complex work
  • Experience with public relations in construction settings
  • Knowledge of compliance with federal and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to monitor craft performance relative to budget and schedules
