The successful candidate will have a wide and varied remit making full use of their experience and skills. Demonstrate a proven track record of success in safe delivery of high quality medium to large scale projects to budget and programme. Handle commercial, operational, quality, and health & safety duties daily.

Requirements

  • CSCS/CSR card
  • SMSTS qualified
  • First Aid at Work
  • Professional qualification
  • Relevant previous construction experience in commercial, retail, healthcare, education, refurbishment and/or new build
  • Proven ability to manage and control subcontractors in line with project programme, safety and environmental legislation
  • Experience managing medium to large scale projects
  • Knowledge of temporary works coordination

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proven track record of success in safe delivery of high quality medium to large scale projects to budget and programme
  • Understand the type of building contract and key project stakeholders including client, client’s representatives, and design team
  • Maintain full understanding of scope of works for each sub-contractor package with access to paper copy of each sub contract order
  • Liaise with PM and PQS on works not deemed included within the scope of works
  • Issue permits for various work activities and close out accordingly
  • Manage utility provisions, diversions, upgrades, and protections via meetings with utility companies
  • Raise NCR’s for works undertaken that are of poor quality
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety/CDM legislation and act as temporary works coordinator where applicable
