We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Project Manager to oversee all aspects of fire protection projects from conception to completion.

In this role, you will manage all phases of fire sprinkler system installation projects across commercial, industrial, and residential settings. You will coordinate with design teams, field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors while reviewing project specifications, drawings, and proposals to determine time frames, budgets, procedures, and staffing requirements.

You will prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, change orders, and submittals, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with local, state, and NFPA codes. Regular site visits and meetings will be conducted to track progress and resolve issues, while maintaining thorough project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and job cost tracking.

This position offers the opportunity to provide leadership, motivation, and support to field staff while enforcing safety practices on all job sites. You will work in a collaborative environment that values technical expertise, strong communication, and a customer service orientation, with regular travel to job sites in the Austin area.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fire sprinkler system project management
  • Working knowledge of NFPA standards (especially NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 25), local building codes, and fire department regulations
  • Familiarity with hydraulic calculations, system design, and installation methods
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications
  • Experience with estimating, budgeting, and job costing preferred
  • NICET certification (Level II or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout) is highly desirable
  • Strong project management, organizational, and critical thinking skills
