About this role

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all global infrastructure. The Sr. Project Manager is a strategically significant role on the Data Center Construction team dedicated to leading data center construction projects.

You will lead electrical substation and transmission project and construction management for our projects in Hyderabad. Our Construction Managers spend the majority of the week on site working closely with vendors to drive project outcomes, resolving issues, and managing RFIs and change orders.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost.

Requirements

Deep knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
Experience leading construction projects from pre-construction through procurement to onsite delivery.
Ability to manage multiple sites and stakeholders while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
Experience working with electrical substation and transmission systems in a construction environment.
Proven ability to develop and manage capital budgets and coordinate with finance teams.
Strong problem-solving skills to resolve project issues and drive predictable outcomes.
Experience with data center construction or similar mission-critical infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Manage project delivery across multiple sites including developing, managing, and reporting on safety, quality, scope, schedule, and budget to ensure predictable delivery within business and cost expectations.
Provide strategic and tactical management of construction capacity delivery within Hyderabad.
Communicate and provide guidance to Finance during the development and execution of capital budgets.
Work with the AWS Energy team to partner on delivering electrical supply capability and capacity to data centers under construction.
Coordinate with various teams supporting data center development and launch.
Develop and manage metrics quantifying performance within the region.
Resolve project issues, manage RFIs, change orders, and other key delivery functions with internal stakeholders and contractors.
