About this role

Flynn Calgary is seeking a Glazing Project Manager to oversee on-site administrative and technical management for construction projects. This role ensures total constructive efforts align with plans and specifications while communicating effectively with all parties involved.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing budgets and financial aspects using an internal forecasting portal, and tracking projects through a Project Information Lifecycle program. The Project Manager serves as the main point of contact, coordinates with safety teams and foremen, and leads project kickoffs, handovers, and autopsy meetings.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager in a construction environment
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, delegate, and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Manage budget and all financial aspects of projects in our internal forecasting portal (PFP)
  • Track projects in our Project Information Lifecycle program (PIL)
  • Serve as main point of contact for assigned projects
  • Work with Safety and Foreman to ensure all safety measures are in place
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal teams, external suppliers and customers
  • Identify potential conflicts and negotiate best solutions
  • Lead project kickoffs, handovers, and autopsy meetings with the project team
  • Communicate with the project team on a daily basis
