About this role
Cardo Group is a leading provider of building maintenance and improvement services to social housing providers and public bodies across the UK. With over 1,000 colleagues, we deliver retrofit and energy efficiency upgrades, responsive repairs, voids, disrepair, compliance, refurbishment, M&E services, and planned maintenance. Join our team as a Bricklayer to construct and repair walls, buildings, chimneys, and structures using bricks and blocks.
The role requires measuring and marking surfaces, mixing mortar, laying bricks in rows, patterns, or designs, cutting materials to fit openings, using hand and power tools, repairing existing structures, and following safety procedures. Demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and materials
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy materials
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with bricks or other materials
- Mix mortar and spread it onto surfaces to be covered
- Lay bricks or other materials in rows, patterns, or designs
- Cut or trim bricks and other materials to fit around windows, doors, and other openings
- Use hand and power tools to cut and shape bricks and other materials
- Repair and maintain existing brick structures
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times
