Cardo Group is a leading provider of building maintenance and improvement services to social housing providers and public bodies across the UK. We deliver services including retrofit upgrades, responsive repairs, compliance servicing, refurbishment, and planned maintenance. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bricklayer to join our team in Caerphilly.
The Bricklayer will construct and repair walls, buildings, chimneys, and structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. Responsibilities include measuring surfaces, mixing mortar, laying materials in patterns, cutting bricks for openings, and using tools to shape them. The role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and materials
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy materials
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with bricks or other materials
- Mix mortar and spread it onto surfaces to be covered
- Lay bricks or other materials in rows, patterns, or designs
- Cut or trim bricks and other materials to fit around windows, doors, and other openings
- Use hand and power tools to cut and shape bricks and other materials
- Repair and maintain existing brick structures
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times
