About this role

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to lead and oversee wind energy projects in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in managing large-scale wind energy projects. They demonstrate strong leadership, project management, and technical expertise.

Day-to-day involves leading the construction phase of wind energy projects to ensure timely completion. Coordinate with project stakeholders including contractors, engineers, and regulatory bodies. Oversee site activities while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and construction personnel with clear guidance. Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards and project specifications. Report on progress, challenges, and solutions to senior management.

Mitigate risks through proactive measures and optimize project timelines, budgets, and resources. Ensure all project documentation remains accurate and up-to-date. Drive success in the renewable energy sector with large-scale infrastructure expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience managing wind energy construction projects
  • Experience preferably in large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy sectors
  • Strong leadership in overseeing construction teams and subcontractors
  • Project management expertise in planning, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Technical knowledge of wind energy project specifications and quality standards
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction
