
About this role
Plan, direct, and monitor all project resources in the field to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications. Provide leadership in earthwork and tailings construction operations. Focus on achieving site quality and schedule adherence.
Manage and provide leadership to subordinates, controlling day-to-day all labor—direct or subcontract—and non-labor resources. Achieve the construction schedule and project quality on site. Ensure all necessary resources are available through regular construction meetings.
Assist the Project Management team to promote and develop teamwork. Subordinates plan and manage resources to meet the construction schedule. Understand project budget basics to prevent costs from exceeding allocations.
Maintain and actively implement SHE programs, identifying, mitigating, and monitoring risks. Ensure SHE Management System effectiveness conforms to ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMK3, and SMKP standards. Target zero lost time incidents while confirming execution meets intended outcomes.
Requirements
- Min. 8 to 10 years of previous experience in construction
- Computer literate, including knowledge of computerized architectural databases and/or CAD drawing systems
- Analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
- Willing to work extended hours to ensure project completion on time
- Organizational, supervisory and negotiating skills
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written is an advantage
